How to win competition prizes
Promoters give away thousands of pounds worth of
prizes in competitions and all you have to do is enter.
If it's a free to enter prize draw and your entry is
"first picked at random", then you are the lucky
winner of the prize, which could be anything from a
T-shirt to a stylish new car. It's quite simply, the
luck of the draw.
You can of course, give Lady Luck
a helping hand, by entering those prize competitions
where you have to complete a tiebreaker sentence,
which is also referred to as a
tiebreaker slogan, for instance: "I want to win a
car with promoter because..."
There's a knack to writing slogans and it's
easy to learn, and great fun too. You'll find lots
of articles, tips and advice here to help you win prizes,
together with prize winning books to give you a
competitive edge.
Wishing you every success with your competitions,
and hope you win many prizes. Happy comping,
Lynne

The thrill
when you read...
"Congratulations...
you've won a brand new car"
,
is indescribable!
Believe me, it's so exciting,
you wonder if it's all a dream. Then you drive away
your gleaming new car and know that dreams can
become reality.
You feel so thrilled.
Perhaps, like me, you dream of driving a
gleaming new car, flying to exotic holiday locations
and furnishing your home with luxury goods? All
presented to you free?
Yes, I know it sounds unbelievable, and you wonder
where's the catch, but it's perfectly true...
Every year UK
competition promoters give away thousands of pounds
worth of prizes, all in consumer prize
competitions. All you have to do is enter - and
win.
I've won a wealth of prizes, including designer
clothes, TWO cars

and world-wide holidays.
I've lazed on sun-kissed Miami
beaches - all for a postcard and stamp!
Won a Ford Fiesta for writing ten apt words
A simple answer on a postcard won a luxurious 5-star
Cyprus holiday
ONE WORD was my passport to mingling with
millionaires in Monaco
A postcard of words for a Proton Persona
Map-ping out the weather on TV was reward for a
witty ditty...
I only wish I'd been less sceptical years ago. I'd
read about people who never bought a car - they
always won them. But, there's got to be a catch, I
thought, but there isn't. You simply enter prize
competitions.
Here's how...
Dreams remain just that - dreams. Unless you
ACT.
I took
action on finding a magazine prize draw. I answered
three easy questions, wrote them on a postcard,
added my name an d address and sent it on its way.
Three weeks later, I heard the mail being delivered.
Now picture this scene.

Amongst the bills and circulars was
a long white envelope. I opened it. Can you imagine
your feeling of excitement reading these words:
Congratulations... you have won -
a family holiday to Miami,
staying at a luxury hotel with car hire and trip to
the Everglades
Believe me the thrill when you win
is indescribable. A Miami holiday - and all for the
price of a postcard and stamp!
If you find that incredible, then how about a
holiday mingling with millionaires in Monaco - for
writing a ONE word slogan.
You can join the winners
To start entering prize competitions, you will need
some entry forms. You can find these in a variety of
retail outlets - supermarkets, fashion stores, D-I-Y
stores, jewellers, garden centres, banks, building
societies, service stations, restaurants, cinemas,
at exhibitions, airports, railway stations, sporting
events… to name a few.
Entry forms come in all shapes and sizes from large
leaflets to entry form collars attached to jars and
bottles. Plus competitions in magazines, newspapers,
on radio, television and on the Internet.
Lady Luck
Every day some-one, somewhere, just like you, opens
a congratulatory letter. Winning prize draws is the
`luck of the draw'. Should your entry be first drawn
- you win. Increase your chances of winning by
entering local competitions in stores, newspapers or
radio. These have less entries than national ones.
But... do enter as some-one always wins!
Secrets of Success
You can increase your chances of success and win
fabulous prizes by entering those competitions where
you are asked to write a tiebreaker slogan for
example: I want to win a car with store
because...
You may be like thousands of other
people who avoid these because you haven’t yet been
shown how to write a winning tiebreaker slogan. Like
any other hobby there's a knack to it. And it's fun
to learn. The secret of success is all down to word
play. Short and apt phrases to catch the judges'
eye.
I buy my goodies from
(supermarket) at Christmas because...
Christmas goodies, exciting show,
store's quality, I'm all aglow
Those ten apt words, turning their
advertising slogan on its head, won me a Ford
Fiesta. My second car, a Proton Persona, was
scooped by finding the most words from the car
name. You can win too!
